Automobile Dealership Grand Re-Opening Moves Forward Following Successful Vapor Mitigation
This project snapshot features the following:
- Expansion of Automobile Dealership
- Expert Design Support Services Provided
An automobile dealership in southeast Florida needed to expand their operations. However, the expansion required building near a former landfill, and methane gas generated from landfill waste would present a potential vapor intrusion risk for employees working at the expanded dealership. TerraShield® with the TerraVent™ passive venting system was selected as the best available technology to protect against methane gas vapor intrusion into the building. Land Science teamed with the environmental consultant managing the project to provide expert support services, including design recommendations for the remodel. The installation was a success, allowing the dealership to proceed toward the Grand Re-opening of their new state-of-the-art facility.
